Why I built it
On Windows I switch between Git Bash, WSL and PowerShell across many projects, often with an agent running in each. Every reboot or crash meant rebuilding the whole layout by hand.
What it does
- Restores tabs, splits, titles and working folders when it reopens
- A different shell per tab, or one default profile
- Side-by-side or stacked splits
- Scrollback search, a command palette and a status bar with git info
- Built-in themes, plus importing VS Code themes
- Shows which tabs are running a command and asks before closing one
- No account and no telemetry
How it’s built
Tauri 2 gives a small native app with a Rust core. Svelte 5 drives the interface, xterm.js renders the terminal and portable-pty connects it to real shells.
